Founded in 1998, VOLM now operates four sites in Yantai and Zibo with more than 200 employees across 107,000 m2. A 70-person technical team and a 5,000 m2 national grade-one test bench support exports to over 20 countries.
Founder
VOLM founder and chairman Lin Xiangkun, a senior engineer and graduate of Northeastern University's School of Mechanical Engineering, has long focused on vacuum technology and industrial pumps.
Production bases
Yantai south plant
An 18,000 m2 high-precision machining center for dry-vacuum-pump assembly, testing, blasting, painting, packing and dispatch.
Zibo north plant
A 33,000 m2 facility for blasting, painting, packing and dispatch of liquid-ring vacuum pumps and chemical centrifugal pumps.
Zibo south plant
A 31,000 m2 assembly and testing plant for liquid-ring vacuum pumps and chemical centrifugal pumps, with warehousing.

1998
The business begins
Yantai Fushan Vacuum Pump Factory was established to manufacture liquid-ring vacuum pumps.
2002
VOLM Vacuum established
Yantai VOLM Vacuum Technology Co., Ltd. was registered with capital of RMB 20 million.
2004
Quality system certified
ISO 9001 quality management system certification was achieved.
2010
Vacuum portfolio expanded
In-house dry screw and Roots vacuum pumps enabled complete vacuum solutions for customers.
2014
Critical equipment upgraded
Key machining equipment was upgraded to internationally leading brands.
2017
High-tech enterprise
Provincial high-tech enterprise certification was obtained.
2018
Lean production introduced
A lean production team standardized manufacturing processes and introduced workshop 6S management.
2019
International brand expansion
VOLM trademarks were registered in Russia, the EU and Southeast Asia, alongside national specialized-enterprise recognition.
2020
Digital transformation
ERP was introduced to accelerate digital transformation.
2023
Centrifugal pump base upgraded
The former Boshan Pump Factory was acquired and VOLM Pumps (Zibo) was established as a high-end petrochemical process-pump base.
2024
National-grade test bench completed
A 5,000㎡ national grade-one test bench was completed at the Zibo site, together with provincial gazelle-enterprise recognition.
